A. Information Provided by Customers

• Account Information: When you register on BookMyWedding, we collect your full name, email address, mobile phone number, and a secure password (hashed using industry-standard bcrypt encryption).
• Enquiry & Quote Information: When requesting a quote from a venue, caterer, photographer, DJ, or decorator, we collect your event date, event type (e.g. Wedding, Reception, Sangeet, Haldi), guest count, city, event area/PIN code, contact phone number, and any special requirements or notes you provide.
• Booking & Payment Records: When you confirm a hall or service booking, we record the booking reference number, event date, guest count, advance amount, balance due, payment method (Online via Razorpay or Cash), and payment transaction identifiers returned by our gateway partner. BookMyWedding does not collect, receive, or store credit/debit card numbers, CVVs, netbanking credentials, or UPI PINs on our servers.
• Customer Reviews: When you submit a review and star rating for a completed wedding hall or service booking, your first name, rating, and written feedback are published on the vendor's profile.

B. Information Provided by Wedding Vendors & Partners

• Vendor Profiles: Business name, contact person name, email, phone number, physical address, city, service areas, and introductory description.
• Verification Documents: Administrative records, tax numbers (GST/PAN if provided), and banking credentials recorded securely in the administration portal for payment settlement.
• Listing Content: Hall capacities, pricing, package details, menus, and portfolio photographs uploaded to showcase services.

C. Information Collected Automatically

• Essential Technical Data: Session cookies (bookmywedding_session) and CSRF protection tokens (XSRF-TOKEN) necessary to keep your account signed in, secure form submissions, and maintain shopping or booking sessions.
• Appearance Preference: Light mode preference stored in local storage (flux.appearance).
• Optional Analytics: When you grant explicit consent via our cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 collects anonymized metrics (such as page views, city searches, and category interest) with IP anonymization enabled.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data solely for legitimate operational and business purposes, including:

• Connecting you with selected wedding vendors and transmitting your quote requests directly to them.
• Generating booking vouchers, advance payment links, invoices, and payment receipts.

• Wedding Vendors You Contact: When you send an enquiry or confirm a booking, the relevant vendor receives your contact name, phone number, event date, and requirements so they can fulfill your wedding services.
• Payment Gateway (Razorpay): Online payments, advance deposits, and online refunds are processed securely through Razorpay. Your transaction is governed by Razorpay's PCI-DSS compliant security standards.
• Transactional Email & SMS Providers: Cloud delivery services used strictly to transmit booking receipts, password reset links, and status notifications.
• Law Enforcement & Regulatory Authorities: Only when strictly required by applicable Indian law, court order, or official governmental directive.

5. Data Retention & Security

We apply robust administrative and technical security measures to protect your data:

• All website traffic is encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (HTTPS/TLS).
• Passwords are irreversibly hashed using bcrypt with a high work factor.
• Database records, booking history, and invoices are retained for legal, tax, and accounting audit purposes as mandated under Indian accounting regulations.
