1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using BookMyWedding ("the Platform", "we", "our", or "us"), whether as a website visitor, registered customer, or wedding vendor, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not access or use the Platform.

2. The Role of BookMyWedding

BookMyWedding is a specialized online marketplace connecting couples and wedding organizers with independent wedding service providers across India, including:

• Wedding halls, banquet halls, marriage gardens, and wedding resort venues.
• Wedding catering teams and multi-cuisine banqueting providers.
• Wedding photographers, cinematic videographers, and pre-wedding studios.
• Live wedding brass bands, Punjabi dhol troupes, and professional wedding DJs.
• Wedding decorators, floral installation specialists, and turnkey wedding planners.

Marketplace Facilitator Notice: BookMyWedding operates strictly as an intermediary technology platform. We do not own, manage, or operate the physical wedding halls or perform the catering, photography, musical, or décor services. Contracts for physical service delivery on the event date are entered into between the customer and the respective independent vendor.

3. Account Registration & Security

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering an account.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and password.
• You must immediately notify BookMyWedding of any unauthorized access to your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide misleading information or engage in abusive or unauthorized behavior.

4. Enquiries vs. Confirmed Bookings

• Quote Requests & Enquiries: Submitting an enquiry through our platform is an expression of interest to check pricing and availability. An enquiry does not reserve, lock, or guarantee a venue or vendor date.
• Booking Confirmation: A booking is confirmed only when the booking application has been accepted by the platform/vendor, the required advance payment (where applicable) has been successfully recorded, and a unique BookMyWedding Booking Reference Number has been issued.
• Date Availability: While we offer date availability tracking, dates are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis upon advance payment verification.

5. Pricing, Invoices & Advance Payments

• Pricing Transparency: Displayed prices (such as base hall rental, catering per-plate rates, photography packages, DJ charges, and décor estimates) are set by vendors and verified by our category administrators.
• Advance Deposits: To secure a wedding hall or service booking, an advance payment (typically 20% or as agreed per package) is required.
• Invoices & Receipts: Official digital invoices and payment receipts are generated and stored in your customer account upon payment confirmation.
• Balance Payments: Any remaining balance beyond the advance deposit is payable directly to the vendor according to the agreed schedule prior to or on the event date.

6. Payment Processing

• Online Payments: Online transactions on BookMyWedding are handled through our secure, certified payment gateway partner, Razorpay. Supported methods include UPI, credit cards, debit cards, and netbanking.
• Cash / Offline Payments: Where permitted, offline cash payments must be verified and marked as received by an authorized administrator or vendor before being reflected in the booking record.

7. Cancellations, Changes & Refunds

Our cancellation and refund procedures operate strictly in accordance with our recorded platform workflow:

• Booking Amendments: Requests to change dates, guest counts, or package inclusions must be submitted to our customer support or handled through our administrative booking edit system.
• Refund Eligibility: In the event of a verified cancellation eligible for refund, the refund request must be initiated by an authorized administrator.
• Online Razorpay Refunds: When an online payment is approved for refund, the funds are returned directly to the original payment source (UPI/bank account/card) via Razorpay within standard banking processing cycles (usually 5–7 business days).
• Cash Refunds: For bookings settled via cash, refunds must be processed directly with the vendor under administrative reconciliation.

8. Reviews & User Content

• Only customers with completed bookings may submit verified star ratings and written reviews for wedding vendors.
• Reviews must reflect genuine first-hand experiences. Defamatory, fraudulent, abusive, obscene, or commercially promotional content is strictly prohibited and subject to immediate removal.

9. Prohibited Conduct

Users of BookMyWedding agree not to:

• Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to extract listings, images, or pricing data.
• Submit false or spoofed booking requests, fake enquiry details, or malicious code.
• Circumvent security controls, rate limiters, authentication mechanisms, or administrative restrictions.
• Harass, intimidate, or defraud wedding vendors, other users, or platform support personnel.

10. Limitation of Liability & Dispute Resolution

• BookMyWedding provides the platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of uninterrupted service.
• We make diligent efforts to verify vendor listings; however, vendors are solely responsible for the quality, safety, and delivery of their services during the wedding celebration.
• In the event of a dispute between a customer and a vendor, BookMyWedding will provide booking logs, transaction records, and mediation assistance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BookMyWedding's total liability shall not exceed the platform fees received for the applicable booking.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
